Teenagers and Blogging

Blogs and the concept of blogging were started being used widely only for the last few years.Thousands and thousands of blogs are created everyday around the world. But as far as blogging is concerned, teenagers of this era seem to be have an effective participation in serious and uninterrupted blogging. Many adults of the same era seems to be still in a learning curve where blogging is still something to be mastered’ by them. Whereas, teenagers of this generation has grown up with computer and internet at every single phase of their lives and hence approaches the concept of blogging, a blog and a word processor with much more simplicity and naturally. For them blogging is the best way of direct communication than a traditional system of scribbling in a diary.The explosive usage of blogs by teenagers also seems to have one accomplished due to the unique mixture of anonymity and visibility, exhibited by blogs and blogging. A user can use a blog to write about anything under the sun and can publish it to the public and can also send email invitation to his or her friends to read the blog. This has two possible effects. An appraisal from family, relatives and friends is always welcomed; whereas it can also lead put you in an embarrassing situation if something goes wrong with the subject matter. But in such cases when the visibility might hinder the purpose of your blogging, you can always be an anonymous person, which is the major benefit of blogging. Teenagers are sometimes interested in posting contents under a nick name, thereby delivering the contents without a fear factor.Blogging is a blessing for teenagers to showcase their writing talents! If we take any writing media outside blogs, such as magazines, newspapers etc, there are nil or limited chances for publishing the work of a teenager. This is because most of the editors and publishers of such media, who are adults, won’t be interested in most of the times to deliver a teenager’s contents. This might be because of the feeling of immaturity in the contents or the absence of some sort of seriousness in the work. By blogging a teenager can create a good group of readers and also don’t have to wait for the approval of those editors or publishers.If we start taking a head count of the number of teenagers with a blog, probably we might be surprised a little bit. The anonymity and visibility approaches of blogging together with a huge opportunity for teenagers to create a good readability for their writings without going through the traditional publishing industry processes, makes them the best platform for the expressions of teenagers. Many teenagers consider blogging as a medium for self expression and as a virtual media for their social networking. The possibility of meeting people with similar interests and thoughts, discussing on issues of similar interests on blogs and giving and getting positive and negative feedbacks seems to have made blogging an essential part of every teenagers life.
